Quaker Oats and Date Pie and Quaker Oats Baked Donuts are two mouth-watering desserts made out of Quaker Oats. Quaker Oats and Date Pie is made with chopped dates and semolina. Quaker Oats Baked Donuts is made with whole wheat flour and low fat yogurt. These two sweet dishes are presented by experts from Quaker India.

Quaker Oats Baked Donuts

Ingredients

Powdered Quaker Oats 
Whole Wheat flour 
Refined flour (maida)  
Powdered sugar 
Low fat yogurt (slightly sour)  
Egg Whites
Vegetable oil
Vanilla flavour 
Baking powder
For Glazing 
Chocolate few colourful sprinkles

Instructions:
For powdered Quaker Oats: Roast Quaker Oats for 2-3 minutes. Cool and grind in a mixer.

  • Mix whole wheat flour, Quaker Oats and baking powder.
  • Whisk together egg white, curd, oil, sugar & vanilla. Gently add dry ingredients. Pre-heat oven to 180°C. Grease mini ring moulds and pour the batter.
  • Bake for 10 minutes. And serve after Cooling.
  • For glazing:  Dip donuts in melted chocolate and decorate with sprinkles.


 

Quaker Oats and Date Pie

Ingredients  

Roasted and powdered Quaker Oats             
Semolina (suji)                                            
Sugar                                                         
Oil                                                             
Chopped Dates                                           
Lemon juice                                                
Peeled and grated apple                              
Chopped walnuts                                        
Boiling Water

Instructions:
For powdered Quaker Oats: Roast Quaker Oats for 2-3 minutes. Cool and grind in a mixer.

  • Mix Quaker Oats and semolina with sugar and oil.
  • Mix apples, dates and walnuts. Add boiling water and lemon juice and stir till smooth. 
  • Pre-heat Oven (375°F). Grease a baking dish.
  • Spread half of the Quaker Oats and semolina mixture in the dish.
  • Top it with a layer of date mixture and cover with rest of Quaker Oats mixture. Bake for 35-40 minutes. (Reduce heat after 20 minutes if topping is becoming brown).
  • Serves 2
