The First Gay Royal wedding

Soon after the Royal family held a historic wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, there will be another royal wedding and this time it is even more special because it is going to be Britain’s first royal gay wedding.

Lord Ivar Mountbatten, the - Queen Elizabeth’s cousin will be the first member of the extended royal family to have a - same sex wedding. He will be getting married to his partner, James Coyle, in Devon at a private chapel.

Lord Ivar Mountbatten’s and his ex wife Penny Mountbatten had gotten divorced eight years ago. They remained close-, Penny and Lord Mountbatten had parted ways eight years ago, but have always remained good friends. Penny with whom Lord Mountbatten had three children will be the one who will walk her ex-husband down the aisle. And penny revealed that this is their daughter's idea. It will be an extremely small ceremony, for close family and friends with close friends and family. It is still unclear if the royal family will be attending it or not.  

The Queen may not havecommented on the wedding yet, but she has made statements in support of LGBTQ rights.  And more - recently the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have vowed to stand up for the LGBTQ youth.
