Emilia Clarke, from HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’, has been cast in the young Han Solo spinoff film, according to the official Star Wars website. "StarWars.com is excited to announce that Clarke, known for her stirring portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen in HBO's ‘Game of Thrones’, will join the upcoming untitled Han Solo ‘Star War’s movie. Clarke’s role will round out a dynamic cast of characters that Han and Chewie will encounter on their adventures," announced the site.
The British actor joins Alden Ehrenreich, who will play Solo, and Donald Glover, who was confirmed for the role of Lando Calrissian in October.
The untitled Han Solo movie, with directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, is set for a 2018 release. ‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’, meanwhile, hits theaters December 16, 2016.
