After Chanel’s Karl Lagerfeld’s spectacular ancient Grecian themed show, Dior’s Maria Grazia Chiuri left no stone unturned for its ‘Wild Wild West Cruise 2018’ which was presented in the middle of the Santa Monica Mountains Nature Reserve.
To bring out the wild look, models were made to walk on the runway wearing fringed skirts and sweaters, bandannas, rugged hiking boots and wide-straw brim hats. The outfits were intricately designed with fur and feathers. The minimal sun-kissed looks created by image and creative director of Dior makeup Peter Philips, gave the perfect feel of the Wild West. The inspiration behind Maria Grazia Chiuri cruise collection 2018 was the beauty of nature, the designer told Women's Wear Daily “At the end, what I would like to say is that women ought to feel in contact with nature, ought to feel in contact with themselves and should be able to dress themselves in a way that's really playful”.
