Monisha Jaising launched her second affordable luxury ready to wear collection – “The Uni Life” under her “Cruise by Monisha Jaising” label - online and in stores on October 7, 2016.
Youthful and modish students who love fashion inspire “#TheUniLife” collection. The campaign features three cool girls of 19 years who are currently pursuing fashion and luxury brand management from The London College of Fashion…..not to forget they are also taking instagram by storm!
Monisha has created a joyful collection where she keeps the silhouettes capacious, freeing, and with lots of sporty details. The collection offers something for everyone. She keeps it diverse with a good mix of embellished beach maxis, printed party tops, shirts and slouchy sweatshirts with bling motifs, festive kurtas and tunics.
The designer has worked around a sense of lightness and ease with a range of fabrics such as silk, crepe de chine, luper-knit, natural cotton, voile etc. in pre-fall colors like Nautical blue, Malaga pink, Jungle green, Vineyard wine, Coal black and Whipped crème white.
The line unfurls a wardrobe with go-to pieces that are in step with global trends at affordable prices. She says, “There is a fast pace to fashion now; I’ve tried to capture the lost innocence of the spirit of fashion, the youthful optimism that it portrays. I’ve tried to capture something youthful about fashion that’s been missing for a while, with these young fashion forward girls".
