Avitesh Srivastava Wants To Act

Singer-composer Avitesh Srivastava, who is the son of actress Vijeta Pandit and the late iconic Bollywood music composer Aadesh Shrivastava, has revealed that he is more interested in entering the world of Bollywood and acting rather than playback singing. The 21-year-old, who launched his first single ‘Main Hua Tera’ earlier this week, has admitted that he prefers acting over singing.

He stated, "Music is my hobby and I want to collaborate more with international artistes in crossover musical projects.

"When it comes to our film industry, I wish to act in Bollywood films rather than playback singing."

The youngster is also interested in performance and storytelling, having even worked with Vishal Bhardwaj on Rangoon and with Shoojit Sircar on Piku as an assistant director.

"I want to carry forward the legacy of my mother who was a very popular actress. IfA I am singing in Bollywood, I would rather playback for myself," he said.
His track, which dropped on Monday, marks not only a special occasion just as his debut, but also as he has bounced back into the scene after three years of staying out of the limelight following his father’s demise.

"I so wish my father was here to see my first music launch. Now I have to build my career and there is a certain amount of pressure I feel, which I am sure would have not faced if my father was standing next to me," said Avitesh, who lost his father to cancer. Good luck to this talented young man
