A.R. Rahman donates one crore for Kerala Flood Victims

Joining the list of celebrities from the film fraternity who have generously donated for the Kerala flood victims is the legendary music composer A.R. Rahman.

The music composer who holds the third  highest civilian award ‘Padma Bhushan’ along with his team of musicians have donated one crore to the chief minister's distress relief fund.   Rahman took to social media and announced the news, he posted a picture along with the team holding a cheque and captioned it as, “A small offering from my artists and me to the brothers and sisters of Kerala”.

Rahman is currently on a tour in the United States of America. The iconic singer performed for the victims of Kerala and he dedicated a special song. During his concert, he changed the lyrics of one of the songs to 'Don't worry Kerala...'.

Apart from Rahman, Tollywood star Prabhas who is popularly known for his role in the Indian epic film "Baahubali" also contributed one crore towards the kerala floods. Other celebrities who have contributed to the relief fund are Chiranjeevi, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Vikram, Surya, Kamal Hassan, Rajinikanth, Dhanush, Karthi and Vijay Sethupathi.
