Swiss Sensations!
Sebastian Thomas and his wife Remya Anto travelled to Switzerland in early July. Here’s the lowdown on their Swiss adventure!
Switzerland is a sensational place to be and a must-see destination for any traveler. Some of the places we visited were Zurich, Interlaken, Zwiesseman, Sannan Valley, Junfraujoch and Mt. Titlis.
In Zurich, we did the usual touristy stuff like shopping and
trying out the Swiss chocolates. One of our favourite activities was attending the massive street party or carnival, which is a part of the annual Zurich Festival. It was a one-of-a-kind experience; the crowd, the energy and the music were all unique, and really blew our minds!
Interlaken is a location of international importance as both a vacation destination and a centre for conventions. It is an ideal starting point for excursions. Trains to the Jungfrau region run in the direction of Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen. They are connected to the railways of Mürren and from there trains run to the Schilthorn, including the Kleine Scheidegg to the Jungfraujoch (the highest point in Europe). They all depart from the Interlaken Ost railway station.
