The Fashion Yatra
The much talked about ‘Fashion Yatra’, an exhibition of designer garments, jewellery and lifestyle products, was organised at the Taj Krishna on August 30. The exhibition was more like a fashion parade with the who’s who of Hyderabad turning out in their best outfits to do their bit to add to the liveliness and colour at the exhibition. Organised by Kamini Saraf, actress Bhoomika Chawala inaugurated the Yatra, which showcased creations by over 70 designers from all over India.

Mont Blanc, a name synonymous with style and elegance, hosted a red carpet evening of luxury and lifestyle at the Grand Ball Room in the Park Hotel, Hyderabad, on August 21.
Burberry Cheques In to the City!
On August 21, high-end international fashion brand Burberry opened its doors to the patrons of Hyderabad at the Taj Krishna. Page 3 regulars, socialites and fashionistas of the city were more than delighted to visit the place and were spotted checking out what the British luxury fashion house had to offer.
Awards for Excellence
The Institute of Economic Studies (IES), New Delhi, one of the country’s premier research institutes, conferred the Lifetime Achievement award to Parvathi Reddy for women entrepreneurship at a function held at the Taj Krishna on August 20.
Investiture Ceremony
On August 19, the Hyderabad Public School, Begumpet, celebrated its investiture ceremony, a long-standing tradition of this historic establishment, in the presence of the chief guest Major General Rakesh Chandra Chadha, General Officer commanding the 54th infantry division, students and school staff. The event began with a parade of the senior school students – the NCC cadets of the three wings of the armed forces, a contingent of classes 11 and 12 and the girls’ troop.
A Mathematical Play!
As part of the International Congress of Mathematicians, two shows of “A Disappearing Number” by Complicite, were played on August 21 and 22 in Hyderabad at the Global Peace Auditorium, Gachibowli.
