Some of the greatest names in music entertainment took to the stage to celebrate the 42nd annual American Music Awards. Hosted at L.A.'s Nokia Theatre by Pitbull, Taylor Swift jump started the show with a literally heated performance of her latest number one single "Blank Space." Swift poisoned her lover at the dinner table, threw him off the stage and then also took home the first Dick Clark Award for Excellence. According to the AMA website, Swift was given the accolade because of her historic album sales. She is the only artist in history to have three albums (“Red,” “Speak” and “1989”) debut with more than 1 million copies sold in their respective first weeks of release.
